Vestry

The vestry of the church are the elected lay leaders of the parish. They work in collaboration with the rector, who is a voting member of the vestry and who serves as Chair of the Vestry. The role of the vestry is to help articulate the vision of the parish, manage the financial and temporal affairs of the church, communicate with the congregation, ensure sound management principles are followed, and allocate resources for the ministries of the church. All other committees of the parish serve as “committees of advice” to the vestry. The vestry is not a Board of Directors. Leadership in the Church is different than leadership in the secular world.  Service on the vestry is a ministry of prayer, listening, open and honest dialogue, and thoughtful decision making.

Members of the vestry are elected by the parish at the Annual Meeting, held on the third Sunday of January.  Vestry members serve three year terms (the year listed after the name on the list below indicates when that member concludes their term).  The current members of the vestry include:
