Peace & Justice
At St. Michael and All Angels, we take our call to respect the dignity of every human being seriously. We are a parish that practices radical hospitality – all people are welcome here.
St. Michael’s partners with organizations like Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE), Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace (ICUJP), Progressive Christians Uniting (PCU), the National Religious Campaign Against Torture (NRCAT), and SAFE California to take a stand for justice.
We believe Jesus teaches and calls his Church to take a stand for those who have no voice and for those who are marginalized. We believe Christ calls us to stand against oppression, injustice, discrimination and exploitation. St. Michael’s proudly declares our stand on issues of social justice through our banner campaign on the front of our church. There is rarely a question regarding where we stand on issues of full-inclusion, immigrant rights, economic justice, torture, marriage equality, and the death penalty.
